Title Sequence: Memento (2000)

The title sequence of Memento began with the production companies, New Market.
Then the titles were shown over a black blank screen in blue writing.

The film dissolves in beginning with a close up of a hand holding a picture. The title fades away and the clip continues.

The credits end here. Each name that appeared was shown for exactly 4 seconds. The audience are constantly reminded of Christopher Nolan and the massive role he has behind the film.
As the credits end, the film moves from the picture and into the story. As the man in the suit (Guy Pearce) takes the picture and puts it back into the camera, we realise the clip is being played in reverse. 
I think editing the clip by rewinding it is a very effective way to grab the attention of he viewers.Memento is also a complicated film, which has the viewers feeling suspense and in need to understand the story.
