The structure of a film opening

We looked at film "opening" on how they open to a film, and also title sequences. When we looked at a film opening we noticted threeTitles over black screen, followed by the narrative opening: Every shot were extreme close up as we are from the characters point of view we see his sewing up a paper with a needle etc.

We are following a car, from a "bird of prey" view, we are given the though that the car is going the wrong way or is n danger as their is scary tense music

Donnie Darko
Donnie Darko for example, is very suspenseful; the nervousness of having to wait to see what is on the floor. It is also a very slow shot which is used to tense the scene more
